Building Defect Management

At Project Guides we investigate building defects, develop cost-effective solutions, prepare remedial specifications, we carry out planned inspections for various construction phases, and administer remedial contracts to ensure all defects are managed and meet current code guidelines under the BCA and Australian Standards.

If you are looking for a Project Manager or Superintendent to manage your building defects, such as concrete cancer, waterproofing, balustrade or balcony repairs, Project Guides provides cost-effective fee proposals. Project Guides can manage the project from the initial consultation to the completion of the works.

Our role typically involves; the preparation of contracts (AS 4000, AS 4905, Department of Fair Trading’s contract), answer RFI’s from Contractors and Client, review variations, review and recommend invoices and conducting site inspections. Throughout the whole process, regular correspondence and meetings with the Strata Manager/Owners are conducted to allow transparency on all our projects.

Reporting is now available via our Client Portal and this is automatically updated allowing our Clients to know exactly where their project is at all times.
